Thassos Island - Island Thassos Greece

	At the north west coast of Thassos lies the village Skala Sotiras. It is the harbour of Sotiras. Skala means " the door " or "the way to the village". After one legend the village are obliged with their harbours. The inhabitants were able to reach the harbour with secret tunnels.
The houses of Skala Sotiras were build mostly along the main street and the coast. Because of this the village is different from the most villages on the isle.
	You will get a wounderfull view from the harbour to the interior of the isle. You will also be able to get a look at the village Sotiras, will say to the rest of Sotiras. Only some ruines are showing that here was a town long ago. Skala Sotiras has about 750 inhabitants. The people of Skala Sotiras are fishing and also in the tourism branch.
